About Us

JR Huskies Basketball is the official feeder program for OPRFHS boys and girls basketball. We will serve youth athletes ages 3rd-8th grade based in the Oak Park and River Forest area.

Our program will educate, train, and prepare all of our participants to transition and prepare for high school interscholastic sports through an extensive and progressive athletic curriculum.
This curriculum will include skill development opportunities, team practices analyzing schemes that are used at the high school level, youth camps for community engagement with current OPRF HS players and coaches, unique feeder night experiences, competitive fall league, feeder events, and AAU travel basketball opportunities.
We will work in partnership with the boys and girls basketball programs as well as other local community organizations. Through these alliances, we plan to establish a strong foundation for young student-athletes to grow and properly prepare for academic and athletic successes at the next level.

To provide a progressive structure of youth basketball services to the Oak Park & River Forest communities through a variety of quality & purposeful recreational & competitive programs. Participants will learn and absorb positive life skills & values through their experience with JR Huskies Basketball.

Jr Huskies Basketball will contribute to an increased number of student-athletes that receive athletic and educational opportunities at the collegiate level. We see our organization as a quality resource for athletic development and youth mentorship that will strengthen the Oak Park and River Forest communities through impactful youth basketball programming.
